Public Event/ Hiroshima Day

 

 

 

PeaceWorks invites everyone, including children, to participate in      

 

Never Again..a Commemoration of the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August 1945, and the loss to the World.                                     

 

 

Location:  Great Lakes Model, Bay Point Lands, Centennial Park, Sarnia

 

Date:  Wednesday, August 6th 2003, rain or shine

 

Time: 7.30pm for traditional origami demonstration

 

Program, 8pm: readings, testimonies and commemorative ceremony

 

Bring a lawn chair or blanket

During the war on Iraq, peace vigils brought together many like-minded peace loving people.  They shared a common goal for justice and peace in the world and an even deeper passion to promote peace among individuals, communities, our nation and the world.  From this the group PeaceWorks was formed.
